The "vibe check"

The idea for the Vibe Check came to VEWS at an event in 2019.
Every show seems to have the same process. A DJ to open it up and keep the silence away between acts, then the performances and all of a sudden.. Boom! The night is over.
Of course this doesn't apply to all events. A lot of them will have multiple stages or activities. Yet, 80% of events are still ran in a simple "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" sort of way. One niche or experience is the main focus.
The goal of each 'Vibe Check' is to fix that by bringing experimental, expressive and entertaining events to venues old and new!
After years of blood sweat and tears from an amazing group of people, we have been able to build a foundation for our dream of regularly hosting/curating these amazing experiences.
From multi genre events, to creativity based events full of challenges games and prizes. We are creating a new generation of shows/events for the people! As these new events come to fruition, we will list them all on this page. Once the events begin to grow and take root, they will earn a dedicated page for content, information and details on how to be a part of the upcoming events.

Vibe Check "Cross-Pollination"
A Showcase For Growth
This variety showcase has a meticulously curated lineup so that we are able to introduce new music and artists to the audience seamlessly.
Then, by bringing out of town artists that pair with each of the locals, the "Cross-Pollination" is inevitable. Effortlessly creating a space for growth!
5 artists from one city paired with 5 artists from another
Each artist has a "counterpart" or an artist that has a similar fanbase in their non-native city.
All artists perform the showcase in BOTH cities
With local Vendors, photographers, videographers and more!
Our Mission
To bridge the gap between cities for emerging artists. While doing that, we want to expose the audience to new music and artists otherwise out of their reach.
"Creative Edition"
Bringing each other together through music!
This rendition of the Vibe Check is one that is a bit... outside the box.
A seasonal, two part will check the Vibes in 3 ways:
First - "The Introduction"
You will be introduced to your house band and hosts "VEWS and the VIBES". They will get the night started and the Vibes thoroughly checked. After briefly explaining the parameters of the event, you will be propelled into the next part of the show!
Second – "The Experience"
We kick off the first of 2 creative portions of the night. 5 handpicked artists compete in an improvisational music challenge! Each performer will have a set amount of time to work with the band to concoct a remix, an original song, or a cover song to play for the audience. The audience, after some deliberation, decides the winner.
The artist that receives the biggest reaction from the crowd gets to be highlighted with their own paid headlining event with a lineup curated around them!
Throughout the night, the MCs of the evening will be interacting with the crowd and other special guests to express even more forms of creation. After each performer has had their time in the light, we transition to the final step of the night.
Third - "The Expression"
As a way to express creativity, freedom and inclusiveness, we end the night with a "Free Room". This provides everyone the opportunity to converse, create and Jam. You could show off some lyrics, make some friends or just watch the magic happen!

To create a safe space for people to open up and get creative.
Artists should have a chance to get goofy and out of their shells. Those that haven't found their creative side, should have a space that inspires them. This happens every day, we just want to publicly incentivize it!

The "Creative Edition" is meant to hash out who's got the stuff, who's got the goods, and who's got the vibes. Once that's done, the fan favorite receives a special gift and a little bit of bragging rights....
A paid headlining gig!
This is the "Showcase Edition" where we show off some very talented artists in a similar format to what you're used to. Your hosts will open up the show and keep the vibes right through the night. We hand select an amazing lineup of artists. The goal is to build the perfect event for our headliner. Our selections could be from the same genre or even a group that is purely meant to entertain in a similar fashion. Depending on what type of vibes the headliner provides, the show will be assembled accordingly.
After the headliner tears the roof of the venue (metaphorically), they will lead us into the "Free Room". At nearly all of our events we try to provide a jam/networking experience that we call the "Free Room". The goal is to get people interacting with each other conversationally as well as creatively.
